Terms of Service

Effective date: September 29, 2026

Beta Disclaimer

Rendevu is offered as a beta service. Features may change, and there may be bugs, interruptions or loss of data. Keep your own copies of anything important, and tell us at admin@rendevu.ca when something goes wrong. Sections 10 and 11 set out what we do and do not guarantee, and the limits of our liability, during the beta and after it.

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Rendevu, a scheduling and payment platform operated by Technologies Lugos inc., a corporation constituted under the laws of Québec with its head office at 936 av. du Mont-Royal E, Montréal (Québec) H2J 1X2, Canada. By creating an account, booking a service or otherwise using Rendevu, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under the consumer protection law that applies to you.

2. What Rendevu does

Rendevu connects independent service providers with the clients who book them. Providers publish their services and availability; clients book and, where the provider accepts online payment, pay through the platform. Rendevu supplies the scheduling and payment tools. The service itself is delivered by the provider, under the provider's own responsibility.

3. Eligibility

To offer services and receive payments through Rendevu, you must be at least 18 years old. Anyone may book as a client. If you are under 14, a parent or guardian holds the account and makes bookings on your behalf.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity carried out through your account. Keep your account information accurate and current. If you believe your account has been used without your permission, write to admin@rendevu.ca promptly.

5. Acceptable use

Use Rendevu for lawful purposes and in a way that respects other users. The following examples illustrate that obligation; they are not an exhaustive list. - Profiles, service names, descriptions, photos and messages must be suitable for a professional setting. Adult or sexually explicit content, and content that is graphically violent or degrading, is excluded from the platform. - Treat providers, clients and our team with courtesy. Harassment, threats and abuse are grounds for closing an account. - Provide accurate information. Fraud, impersonation and misrepresentation are grounds for closing an account. - Comply with the terms of our payment and video partners, whose services form part of the platform. We may remove content that breaches this section and may suspend or close the account concerned, as described in section 9.

6. Providers and their services

Providers set their own prices and schedules, and are responsible for the services they deliver, including their quality, legality and outcome. When you book, your agreement for the service is with the provider. Before you confirm a booking, you are shown the price and what is due when, the date and time, the cancellation policy and, when the booking is paid through Rendevu, the provider's business name, address and telephone number. Your confirmation email repeats them. Every booking made through Rendevu carries the same cancellation policy, described in section 8. Providers are the merchant of record for their bookings and are responsible for their own taxes and for the rules that apply to their profession. Rendevu's role is limited to providing the scheduling and payment tools.

7. Payments and fees

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay or receive payment through Rendevu, you also agree to Stripe's terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement for providers (stripe.com/legal/connect-account). Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach Rendevu's systems. Rendevu charges providers a platform fee of 1% + $1.00 CAD per paid transaction, deducted from the amount paid out to the provider. Clients pay the price listed by the provider, with no additional platform charge.

8. Cancellations and refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, available at rendevu.ca/refund-policy. In summary: a client may cancel a booking at any time before the appointment, and everything paid online for it is refunded automatically and in full, including the platform fee. When a provider cancels a paid booking, the client is also refunded automatically and in full. If a client misses an appointment without cancelling, nothing is refunded automatically; the provider can still issue a refund from their Rendevu dashboard.

9. Suspension and closure of accounts

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you do. We may suspend or close an account for a breach of these Terms, for conduct that harms other users, or for use that exposes Rendevu or its partners to legal or financial risk. We may also, at our discretion, suspend or close an account where we consider it necessary to protect Rendevu's reputation, its users or its relationships with partners. Where the circumstances allow, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond.

10. Availability of the service

Rendevu is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep the platform reliable and make no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Québec and Canada, implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, are excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Technologies Lugos inc., its directors, officers and employees are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of Rendevu. For any claim relating to a booking, our total liability is limited to the amount paid for that booking through the platform.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Québec.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we publish the new version here with its effective date. Providers are asked to accept the new version the next time they open their dashboard; clients accept the version in force each time they sign in to book. Changes take effect on the effective date shown, which is the day they are published.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how you exercise your rights. It forms part of these Terms.
